Podere Macinaia

From the central front door you enter the kitchen at the heart of the home, which offers every amenity for a cook without loosing the Tuscan charm.

From here and to the left is a grand living area with beautiful historic domed ceilings embossed with the mines crossed hammer crest. This spacious room has a large dining table which easily seats 14 people and a comfortable lounge area with a central open fireplace. This space is completely open plan and features 3 huge arched glass doorways which open onto the garden and views beyond. The outside dining area can also seat 14 people under the pergola.

Coming back through the kitchen to the west wing of the house. You will find a pantry / storage area, then the bathroom and beyond, a study which features another arched glass doorway to the garden.

Podere Macinaia has two staircases, one at the end of the west wing made of old stone and which was once connected to the mine shaft and the other centralised from the kitchen.

On the first floor you will find another 2 bathrooms including showers and the 6 bedrooms. Each bedroom offers many amenities to be comfortable during your stay. The master bedroom is the largest and offers its own private outdoor entrance with a staircase to the garden and features a log burning fire. At the opposite end of the house is another room which is used as an extra lounge area which features another private outdoor entrance and another patio area. This room is equipped with a day bed and can be used as another double bedroom. The bedrooms in between have very high ceilings featuring typical Tuscan beams and 2 of them have the historic, vaulted dome ceilings which can also be in the large livingroom. Podere Macinaia has been through a restoration process although still features a rustic edge which works perfectly for this type of historic property.

The house itself is detached, in nature and has no direct neighbours. It is located on a regular but little used country road. Due to the closeness to nature and the splashing of the spring un the property, you have around the clock a nice and relaxing atmosphere.
