How to turn the water to the house on and off
Standing in front of the house on the left side (towards the street), you have a wonderful view of Volterra. At the right side is an oleander bush that covers the water access on the ground and a small water house. Here you can turn on (and off) the main water access. To do this, open the water access on the floor in front of the water house. To do this, pull up the metal cover by the handle. Now you will see two water pipes.
ATTENTION! Only the right water pipe belongs to our house!
Behind the water meter there is a lock with which you can turn the water on and of. In the picture you can see the screw cap that is perpendicular to the water pipe. So the water is turned off. To turn on the water, you have to turn the regulator a quarter so that it runs parallel to the water pipe. Then the water is turned on.
In the litte house with the water regulator, you don't have to do anything, The handles to control the waterflow should be like in the picture.
How to turn on the poolwater and the water for the pool shower
If you are using the pool, you have to turn on the pool water. It automatically fills up the pool with water in case the waterlevel gets too low and it also gives water to the pool shower.
Please turn the water off in the evenling an again on when you use the pool.
The poolschower has a watertank, thet heats up wir the sun. After it is used you only have cold water. On the right side of the small hut is a water connection with a hose connected to it. Here you can turn on and off the water to the pool. If the lever is pointing forwards, the water is on; if it is at right angles to the pipe, it is off. Please do not remove the hose from the water connection.

How to use the water from the spring
We also have the option of using water from our spring, which we can use for the plants. To turn on the pump, simply plug the black plug into the socket. after use, pull the plug out again so that the pump does not continue to run. the connection is behind the large tree next to the pergola.The switch on the small box on the wall opposite must also be switched on.

How to turn on the warm water
Turning on the hot water is simple. Everything is set. Only the power must be switched on.
IMPORTANT! Please do not turn on both devices at the same time, otherwise they will draw too much current and the fuse could blow.
First turn on "Acqua calda cantina" and two to three hours later "Acqua calda 1st piano" in the Fusebox at the top of the staircase in the middle of the house. The switches in the picture are circled in blue.
ATTENTION: Due to the long distances, the hot water must be allowed to run for a long time so that it comes out warm at the water tap or shower! You can also see the temperature of the water in the bathrooms on the upper floor on the display of the round boiler.
